Dr. Nathan Berry was born in Augusta, Georgia (home of the Masters Golf Tournament!), and grew up across the Savannah River in North Augusta, SC. He attended the University of Georgia where he earned his bachelor degree in biological sciences. Athens is also the place he met his wife, Teresa, whose family lives in Madison, CT.
Dr. Berry attended dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, KY, after spending one year as a dental assistant in Chapel Hill, NC.
After dental school, the couple moved to Virginia Beach, VA, where Dr. Berry practiced privately in a group practice until he and his wife became pregnant with their first daughter. This big change in their lives prompted the Berrys to want to move closer to family. While they decided between a move to Connecticut or South Carolina, Dr. Berry left his private group practice and devoted his time and skills to a clinic that treated the underserved children in the low income areas of Norfolk, VA. This invaluable experience with a mostly overlooked population changed Dr. Berry's life forever, and it was a time in his career for which he will always remain grateful.
Dr. Berry spent countless hours researching all aspects of the family's pending move, and he and Teresa finally decided to make their permanent home in Connecticut. Once he met the family at Hartford Dental Associates, he knew that West Hartford was where he belonged, and the couple made the move north. Since moving to Simsbury, the couple has had another child, a little boy. The Berrys now have their hands full with their two active offspring!
